Founder

A few years ago, I left the therapy space and thought I’d never return.

I was disillusioned by a system that claimed to heal but often perpetuated harm. I also couldn't see a way to practice with the spiritual integrity my lineage demanded of me.

As a descendant of healers in the 21 Divisiones tradition, I knew there was more to transformation than what traditional therapy offered, but I didn't have a roadmap for integration.

I thought I was done with clinical work, but Spirit had other plans.

Turns out that those years away became the deepest initiation of my life, a personal and sacred unraveling that prepared me for the next iteration of my calling.

In fact, I was called back to clinical work right as Pluto entered Aquarius, signaling a major cosmic shift toward revolutionary healing and collective transformation.

That’s when I understood why events unfolded as they did: unlike my first couple of years as a therapist, now I had the spiritual maturity and embodied wisdom to practice in the most integrated, authentic way.

Venus+Legacy was birthed from that initiation.

It’s a space where therapy and spirituality don't just tolerate each other, but dance together in right relationship, and in service of healing that transforms lineages and creates new legacies.

We only walk you down paths we've traveled ourselves. We focus ruthlessly on what we do and know best.

Both/And Perspective

Instead of false binaries, we focus on intersections: spiritual and clinical. Individual and systemic. Ancient and contemporary.

Self-Knowledge + Devotion

You have a deep knowing that lives in your body + dreams. We create the conditions for you to journey back to that wisdom.

Relationships = Everything

Relationships are the fundamental truth about how we heal, exist, and become whole. Everything flows from and returns to connection.

Commitments in Action

  • We believe therapy should be financially sustainable for both clients and clinicians. Therapists provide better care when they're well-resourced and compensated appropriately for the life-changing work they do. Clients can focus on healing when they have clarity and predictability around cost.

    We acknowledge that the systems we live within often make these values feel mutually exclusive, requiring intentional and innovative approaches to care. In holding these multiple truths and recognizing that singular solutions can't fix systemic challenges, we've made the following commitments:

    • 20% of all clinicians' caseloads are reserved for reduced fees ALWAYS

    • Consistent rates across our team. We hire for exceptional talent and effectiveness rather than credentials or tenure, so there are no hierarchy in rates

    • The creation of the Legacy Fund for Families (see Mutual Aid & Collective Care below)

  • We keep caseloads intentionally small. Instead of managing 20+ clients per week, our practitioners are going deep with fewer people. This means more presence, nuance, and capacity to hold what's actually happening in the room.

    We also hire therapists who've done their own work, practice what they teach, and can hold complexity skillfully. For us, quality over quantity, always.

  • The Legacy Fund for Families provides low-to-no cost relational therapy for those of the global majority.

    The Legacy Fund is supported by grants and community investment, with a percentage of Venus+Legacy's revenue contributing to its sustainability.

    Beyond the Fund, collective care shows up in how we resource other practitioners doing integrated work. Through our therapist development programs, we share knowledge and build networks of spiritually-grounded clinical care.
