A few years ago, I left the therapy space and thought I'd never return.

I couldn't see a way to practice with the spiritual integrity my lineage demanded of me, and I couldn't find a roadmap for integration anywhere in my training, peers, or the broader field.

I knew that lineage-shifting healing required more than what traditional therapy was built to do.

Relationships are where we are made and unmade. What breaks between us is rarely just psychological, but also soul and lineage-level, written in the stars and inherited through the body. For healing that sticks, you have to be willing to see what's in front of you and what's beyond it.

This truth lived deep within me, but it had nowhere to anchor. Every session I sat in without honoring what I knew felt like I was betraying both my clients and integrity. The dissonance was eating me alive.

So I left.

That time away became the deepest initiation of my life. As a descendant of healers in the 21 Divisiones tradition, I was being prepared for what my training alone couldn't give me: the spiritual maturity and capacity to hold ancient wisdom and clinical rigor in right relationship.

I was called back to clinical work right as Pluto entered Aquarius, signaling a major cosmic shift toward revolutionary healing and collective transformation. I understood that my return was about practicing differently and building the infrastructure for this kind of healing.

Venus+Legacy was built from that initiation.

Relationships are the fundamental truth about how we heal, exist, and become whole. Everything flows from and returns to connection.

Commitments in Action

  • We believe therapy should be financially sustainable for both clients and clinicians. Therapists provide better care when they're well-resourced and compensated appropriately for the life-changing work they do. Clients can focus on healing when they have clarity and predictability around cost.

    We acknowledge that the systems we live within often make these values feel mutually exclusive, requiring intentional and innovative approaches to care. In holding these multiple truths and recognizing that singular solutions can't fix systemic challenges, we've made the following commitments:

    • 20% of all clinicians' caseloads are reserved for reduced fees ALWAYS

    • Consistent rates across our team. We hire for exceptional talent and effectiveness rather than credentials or tenure, so there are no hierarchy in rates

    • The creation of the Legacy Fund for Families (see Mutual Aid & Collective Care below)

  • We keep caseloads intentionally small. Instead of managing 20+ clients per week, our practitioners are going deep with fewer people. This means more presence, nuance, and capacity to hold what's actually happening in the room.

    We also hire therapists who've done their own work, practice what they teach, and can hold complexity skillfully. For us, quality over quantity, always.

  • The Legacy Fund for Families provides low-to-no cost relational therapy for those of the global majority.

    The Legacy Fund is supported by grants and community investment, with a percentage of Venus+Legacy's revenue contributing to its sustainability.

    Beyond the Fund, collective care shows up in how we resource other practitioners doing integrated work. Through our therapist development programs, we share knowledge and build networks of spiritually-grounded clinical care.
